HARMFUL PRACTICE INDEPENDENT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ADVOCATE ACCREDITED PROGRAMME

ABOUT

Developed by AWRC, the HP IDVA Programme is the UK’s only accredited training specifically focused on Harmful Practices within the Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG) sector. Grounded in a Black Feminist and intersectional approach, it equips frontline practitioners with the specialist skills needed to support marginalised communities.

The course is accredited by Accredited Assessment Ltd (AAL) and endorsed by NCFE, a UK Ofqual-regulated awarding body—ensuring national recognition and credibility.

Delivered over 12 workshops spread across 3 months, the programme includes:

  • Expert-led training sessions
  • A half-day placement with a specialist ‘by and for’ organisation
  • Shadowing opportunities for deeper learning
  • Training delivery tailored to your needs, available at a location of your choice or online.

Course Fee:

  • Non ‘By and For’/general organisations - £2,500 per candidate
  • ‘By and For’ organisations with over £500,000 annual turnover - £2,250 per candidate
  • ‘By and For’ organisations with a turnover under £500,000 - £2,000 per candidate
